Growing up watching Disney movies I always noticed there was a common trope amongst their characters. Most of these beloved characters have a compassion and respect for animals. They often have animal sidekicks that end up saving their lives. 
In modern society we are taught that these classic Disney characters ( in particular Disney Princesses) are not good influences or role models for audiences when in reality it's not true. These characters teach us to be kind to others, initiate positive change, and to respect animals. We can learn to realize that animals of all kinds are our friends.
